Here we have some of my sealed Leisure Suit Larry items, some of my variants are packed away.. and I really should pack some of those LSL1 releases away also..clean up the display a bit.
Larry probably doesn’t need any introduction.. I played most of the games back in the eighties and nineties and really had a great time. Still remember my friends and I trying to brute force LSL1’s copy protection, our english wasn’t very good and we didn’t really have any “adult” knowledge to answer the questions correctly.
After LSL5 – Passionate Patty Does a Little Undercover Work and LSL6 – Shape Up or Slip Out! I kinda lost interest in the franchise. In my opinion the game turned really dumb and really lost its soul.
I did play LSL1 Reloaded a few year back and didn’t really like it, seemed rushed – also I did notice that I somewhat had outgrown the humor (thou it is genuinely funny at places) – You can get a pretty good read on at Gamasutra which sums it all pretty good up – for me any way.
I was lucky to buy Al Lowe’s original copy last year, which he signed for me (the last 2 pics).
