Today we’ll be taking a look at the adventure game genre and how it evolved from the simple text-only games of the ’70s to the multimillion-dollar productions of the mid-to-late ’90s. It’s the story of how more than 40 years of great storytellers and innovative people alongside technological advancements would herald the genre.
In this part one of two, we’ll be focusing on the early years from 1976 to 1985.
